AI Data Readiness Checklist

Use this starter checklist before beginning an analytics, automation, or AI initiative.

1. Define the business decision or process the data will support.
2. Identify critical data elements and their owners.
3. Confirm source systems, refresh frequency, and known lineage.
4. Profile completeness, validity, consistency, uniqueness, and timeliness.
5. Record known defects and estimate business impact.
6. Agree acceptable thresholds for each critical data element.
7. Assign remediation owners and target dates.
8. Confirm monitoring and escalation routines before production use.
